Kidicorp Staff Benefits.

Kidicorp offers the "best of both worlds" for employment. You can work within the closeness of a dedicated team while at the same time tapping into the resources only a larger organisation can provide. Kidicorp offers a number of benefits and encourages you to take advantage of them...

Childcare Discounts:

50% discount after any WINZ or 20-Free Hours for all ECE trained and registered teachers and those in their final year of training.

Medical Insurance Subsidy:

Free Southern Cross Healthcare for all ECE trained and registered teachers. Other staff may also be entitled to receive a subsidy. Those eligible can choose to upgrade their plan or include family members - if they wish.

Study Assistance:

Where a teacher in-training doesn’t qualify for the Ministry of Education’s incentive grant, Kidicorp may provide assistance of up to $1,500 per year of study; This assistance may also be used by an ECE qualified teacher wishing to further their training, e.g. upgrade from a Diploma to a Degree.

Paid Practicum:

We recognise that teachers in training often experience financial hardship when on practicum. We support teachers by paying them an allowance equivalent of up to 4-weeks wages for those in their 2nd year and up to 5-weeks for those in their 3rd year of training.

Relocation Grant:

We support teachers wanting to relocate to a Kidicorp centre in another part of the country with a grant of up to $2,000 to assist with relocation costs if they are not eligible for the Ministry of Education relocation grant.

Additional Sick Leave Allowance:

We recognise that when working with children, teachers have a greater risk of needing additional time off work to recuperate from illness and so provide up to 10 days per year for those in full time employment.

Teacher Referral Incentive:

The ECE community is relatively small and word-of-mouth recommendations speak volumes. We want to encourage our staff to recommend to their colleagues at other organisations to work for us and will provide a $1,000 incentive for successful appointments.

Employee Assistance Programme:

From time to time we know that you may be faced with a range of issues that have a negative impact on your ability to function effectively at work or in your personal lives. The Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) enables you to seek some assistance from the network of approved counsellors to obtain some confidential professional support.

Teacher Registration - Advice & Guidance Programme:

It is important to assist teachers with gaining their full registration by providing an Advice & Guidance programme.
  • Provides qualified teachers with on-going advice and guidance and to support them through the registration process to obtain full registration
  • Supports our teachers with renewing their practicing certificates
  • Supports teachers in ‘best practice’ and in achieving and maintaining the Satisfactory Teacher Dimensions

Professional Development:

We have in-house specialists on hand to provide extensive in-centre and external support for teachers’ growth and development in their practice to ensure that Ministry of Education requirements are met and professional standards are maintained.
